Alpine Beginnings
Day 35 - The long-awaited return
Seemingly never been better prepared, yet also not quite ready. Never been fitter but uncovinced by the energy levels. Seldom had more time available yet also in a hurry of sorts.
The traverse of the Alps begins after a long transit to the shore of Lake Geneva. Paths reminiscent of those encountered frequently over the past months provide a welcoming back of sorts. The scorching heat is interrupted by a downpour and with a thunderstorm looming on the horizon, a conveniently located campsite brings the hike to a shorter than expected end.
