Day 36 - Setting the Tone

Following an early hike at sunrise, the hike begins with a decent ascent up the first of many mountains on this day. The views remain stunning throughout, as does the intensity of the challenge faced. After significantly more than 2000m of ascending and also descending in parts, the day ends in the familiar small tent having had a more than welcome shower at a mountain refuge.
